Connectivity
Consortium co-ordinators will have checked with the adviser that he / she has no connection with school that could question his / her ability to act impartially, but the school will also need to confirm that, as far as they are also aware, this is the case. The rule on connectivity will be as follows:
The core principle should be always to err on the side of preventing any real or potential conflict of interest. Thus, where an adviser, headteacher or appointed governor is concerned that there may be a conflict of interest or connectivity in deployment terms, an alternative person should be identified. Throughout this process, given the potential deployment complexities, the onus must rest upon the parties directly involved to declare potential conflict of interest through reasons of connectivity, as required in the Adviser Code of Conduct (Part 1.5).
